At my work there aren’t relationships in between coleagues. But there are friendships. I am a manager and most of the time this relationships turns work time into gossip time. We particulary try to increment the time they spent knowing each other outside work hours. In my opinion a relationship in the work happens when you are not focus in what your doing. If not, of course it gives that same impresion. There are few breaks people can take to smoke, have a bite, drink, go to the wc, this times are necesary and I wonder if there should be times for just talk and gossip too. As a Human Resources I think couples should be separated in diferent deparments, to keep the enviroment with a good armony. On the other hand, romances in which one of the person has a husband/wife should have the same treatment and also should be forced to chose into one or other relationship. That doenst show a healthy commitment to your job and to your live.
